The Ribbon Ray is a passive Fauna species found throughout the The Crater. It is the only edible fauna species that holds more than one inventory slot.
In the Subnautica: Below Zero version of De-Extinction, they can be found in a large variety of areas compared to their other variant.
Appearance
The Ribbon Ray has a central body that is mostly green with blue and orange streaks across its body. It has one dorsal fin on the top of its body and two fins in the shape of two rings. Two tendrils also follow behind the ray, swaying as it moves. It has one central yellow eye on the front of its head with a black pupil
Behavior
The Ribbon Ray is fairly slow, even when attacked, and is commonly only seen alone. It is also a shy creature and will eventually flee from the player upon being noticed.

Medium sized herbivore found in a diverse biome.
While some of the Ribbon Ray's coloration is similar to the surrounding environment, this pattern seems to serve the purpose of display more than anything else.
Found commonly taking shelter under the massive coral-like lifeforms towering over the surrounding biome. Ribbon Rays are not particularly skittish, but are still cautious in open areas.
